Timico Strengthens Convergence Position with KeConnect Acquisition

Gains over 300 exclusive IT dealer relationships and builds customer presence in SoHo/Prosumer sector

Newark, UK, March 30 2007 - Timico Ltd., an independent provider of converged communication services to the business market, today extended its internet service and broadband capabilities with the acquisition of KeConnect Group Limited, a UK based independent Internet Service Provider. The acquisition, which includes KeConnect Group's principal subsidiary, KeConnect Systems Limited, supports Timico's objective of becoming a leading player in the converged B2B space by boosting its presence in that market and strengthening its presence in the SoHo/Prosumer sector. The move impacts the mix of services currently provided by Timico to its customers, achieving a more equitable balance between internet, fixed and mobile services. Timico will also benefit from inheriting relationships with over 300 of KeConnect's specialist computer outlet dealers. These exclusive arrangements will provide a robust channel through which the other Timico converged, fixed, VoIP and mobile communications services can be sold in the future.

"We are delighted to have made our second acquisition. Like Timico, KeConnect is another convergence-focused business and shares our strong commitment to providing high quality, business strength solutions with exceptional personal customer service. By combining the two companies, we achieve a strategic opportunity to further increase the value of our business by gaining a customer base into which we are able to sell multiple services", says Tim Radford, Chairman, Timico Group.

KeConnect has traded successfully since 1995 as a predominantly B2B Internet Service Provider based near Ipswich. Formed in 1987, the company has grown rapidly and is profitable, with over 6,000 broadband connections and a full suite of internet communication solutions including ADSL, domain names and point-to-point connectivity. KeConnect's directors, Robert Kemp and Gary Hill will remain with the business as Sales and Technology Director respectively. They will continue to lead and drive the growth of KeConnect, which will run as a standalone subsidiary of the Timico Group. They will both report into Chris Tombs, Chief Executive.

"We are pleased to be teaming up with a company as well respected as Timico because it offers us tremendous flexibility for our dealers as well as our customers," says Robert Kemp, Sales Director, KeConnect.

KeConnect Relocate in Time of Business Growth

KeConnect, Ipswich based leading Internet Service Provider has relocated from Ipswich town centre to Orion Business Park, as a result of a record year of business growth last financial year and a further anticipated spurt of growth this year.

With over 400 authorised resellers throughout the UK recommending KeConnect Broadband and related products to their customers, the company has quickly established itself as a top performing national broadband provider.

Commenting on the success of KeConnect and the need to relocate to accommodate for further growth, Robert Kemp, Founder and Managing Director of the company stated, "For at least seven consecutive months now, KeConnect has been far outperforming all UK broadband providers on ADSL Guide, the UK's premier comparative guide to broadband providers. Even when compared with the likes of Wanadoo, AOL, BT Broadband and Tiscali, KeConnect continues to outperform on speed, reliability and customer service. This is a fantastic achievement for KeConnect, and a position we fully intend to maintain.

I thoroughly believe that both our employees and resellers have played a vital role in not only pushing us to the top, but in keeping us there. By relocating to larger premises we can continue to grow our employee base comfortably in order to maintain our excellent level of customer service and support. Just as importantly, our new premises will also allow us to conduct an increased number of reseller events to ensure that we are giving our valued resellers the best help and training possible in order that they feel 100% confident in recommending our products and services to their client base".

KeConnect is now located just off the A14, in Great Blakenham, near Ipswich.

Working From Home is Easy for Roger - Thanks to KeConnect!

Felixstowe based Beatons Group, Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors continue to enhance their service and productivity thanks to a solution implemented by Ipswich based KeConnect Internet.

Beatons switched to KeConnect in June, following an assessment by the Ipswich based Service Provider of the group's requirements. Beatons were keen to use email and the internet to their full potential as valuable business tools and needed advice from a reliable, local Internet Service Provider on how to take the next step. KeConnect provided Beatons with a secure, cost effective broadband and remote access solution to meet the brief.

Roger Beaton, Managing Director of the Beatons Group said, "KeConnect established the requirements of the firm and provided a quick and efficient installation. So far there has been a swift response to any technical difficulties and help on hand from the experienced team in Ipswich. The continuous access to emails has and will continue to assist Beatons in improving their client services and response times. It has assisted the marketing department as newswires and information can be circulated quickly. In general, broadband provides a faster & more reliable access to the internet. Obviously the flat fee associated with broadband is advantageous".

An important part of the changes that KeConnect put in place was the implementation of a VPN or 'Virtual Private Network' from Roger's office at home to Beatons internal network, created by effectively 'linking together' the broadband connections at either end.

Roger commented, "The VPN facility allows me to check emails and gain secure access to company information from home, at any time of the day, providing me with a greater degree of flexibility".

KeConnect, East Anglia's leading independent Internet Service Provider is now in its seventeenth year of business.

Business Development Manager Lisa Andrews said, "KeConnect are always looking for ways to team new technology with tried and tested business processes to enhance our client's productivity. In these days of home office based businesses and larger businesses with remote workers, a telephone alone is not enough to ensure that everyone involved has access to all the information that they need to do business. A secure, direct link via the internet into a central point is the ideal solution, and with technology like Broadband at our fingertips, it's not as costly as one might think".

Openzone team up to provide new Wi-Fi hotspot network

BT Openzone and KeConnect, one of the UK's leading internet service providers, have signed an agreement that will allow subscribers and card holders of both companies to roam each others Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK from May 2006.

Branded as KeZone™, KeConnect's Wi-Fi hotspots are set to grow quickly providing customers with access to over 2,500 hotspots throughout the UK by the end of the year.

KeConnect intends to introduce KeZone hotspots to a broad range of public places through its existing reseller base. With over 470 resellers and thousands of existing KeConnect Broadband users, the potential for the company to provide the consumer with increasing internet access whilst on the move, is very real indeed.

Commenting on the anticipated uptake of KeZone hotspots, Managing Director of KeConnect, Robert Kemp said, "With our reseller base spread across the UK, we already have a number of businesses eager to introduce Wi-Fi to a variety of public places that do not currently have this facility. The business proposition for our resellers is considerable because of the increasing demand for wireless hotspots.

In the locations in which they install hotspots, they will benefit from very minimal set-up costs. They are only charged the wholesale value of the pre-paid cards once the end-user has activated it. This enables the initial outlay to be kept to an absolute minimum, yet the business opportunity can be maximised with the potential to earn a substantial profit share".

Julie Ragbourne, Head of Roaming and Wholesale, BT Wireless Broadband added, "It's critical for the future of Wi-Fi that service providers join forces to promote and drive awareness of the benefits of the wireless technology available at hotspots. Our BT Openzone customers already have access to over 8,400 hotspots in the UK and Ireland and over 30,000 globally, and this new partnership highlights our commitment to keep growing that number.

Working with KeZone will take us another step closer to BT's vision of enabling customers -- whether business users or 'mainstream' consumers -- to access all their information on their own choice of Wi-Fi enabled device wherever they are, whilst receiving the highest levels of service delivery and customer care".

The widespread introduction of Wi-Fi usage outside the office and home only becomes viable if hotspots are as easy and fast to use as possible. This is where KeConnect's KeZone hotspots offer a real advantage to the end user as they will be connected via the KeConnect network, which is well-renowned for being under-contended. This makes for much faster connectivity, irrespective of the location of the hotspot, providing the KeZone end-user with easy and instant access.
